Building Practical AI for Real Businesses

LiffeyAI was founded by a team that has spent more than 25 years helping organisations transform how they operate. Long before AI was mainstream, we were building digital workflows, optimising commercial engines, modernising operations, and scaling products across multiple industries.

Today, we bring that experience into the next evolution of work. We’re designing and implementing AI-driven workflows, automation, and intelligent systems that deliver real operational impact.

We’re not academics. We’re not consultants with slide decks.

We’re operators, engineers, and data specialists who know how to make technology actually work inside a business.

LiffeyAI helps organisations build intelligent operations by embedding AI into real workflows, with clear human ownership and measurable outcomes.

Oh, and we’re based right on the Liffey river in Dublin - for a thousand years, the lifeblood of the city that is now the heart of technology in Europe.

Our Mission

AI on its own does not create value. Value is created when AI is designed into how people work.

At LiffeyAI, we focus on building intelligent operations – where human teams and AI systems work together inside well-defined processes, with clear ownership, controls, and success measures.

This is why our work sits at the operating layer of the business. Not to replace people, but to amplify execution, consistency, and decision-making where it matters most.

We believe that the future is Human and AI creating unprecedented value together.

Brendan Hughes
Founder & CEO

Brendan Hughes is the Founder and CEO of LiffeyAI, with more than 25 years of experience leading digital transformation and commercial operations across PLCs, startups, and scale-ups.

He has held senior leadership roles including CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, and Chief Digital Officer, working across sectors such as insurance, gaming, retail, e-commerce, SaaS, and B2B. Throughout his career, he has been accountable for turning technology investment into real execution, revenue growth, and operational performance.

Brendan’s work has consistently focused on the operating layer of the business: how strategy, people, processes, and technology come together to deliver measurable outcomes. As AI adoption accelerated, he saw a familiar pattern emerge: teams experimenting in isolation, leaders lacking visibility and control, and early productivity gains failing to scale. LiffeyAI was created to address that gap by bringing governance, structure, and operational discipline to AI adoption.

LiffeyAI reflects Brendan’s operator-led approach to Intelligent Operations, where human teams and AI systems work together inside well-defined workflows, with clear ownership and accountability. Rather than treating AI as a set of tools or experiments, LiffeyAI helps organisations build AI capability they can own, operate, and improve over time.
